We challenge conventional thinking, reimagine what is possible, and develop advanced solutions that support the safe, reliable, and sustainable generation of clean energy worldwide.About the RoleAs a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of specialized equipment used in machining, welding, metrology, non-destructive testing (NDT), and handling operations.Working within multidisciplinary project teams, you will be involved throughout the entire engineering lifecycle-from concept development and feasibility studies to detailed design, qualification, testing, and deployment.This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who are passionate about mechanics, innovation, and the development of bespoke industrial equipment in a highly technical environment.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering & DesignContribute to the definition of tooling and equipment concepts during the proposal and bidding phase.Perform feasibility studies and detailed mechanical design activities.Develop 3D models and detailed designs using CAD tools.Perform mechanical calculations and sizing of components and assemblies.Select appropriate materials and electromechanical components according to project requirements.Technical DocumentationProduce assembly drawings, manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).Develop handling plans and intervention sequence documentation.Prepare technical documentation required for design, qualification, manufacturing, and implementation activities.Testing & QualificationParticipate in workshop assembly, testing, and acceptance activities.Contribute to development and qualification programs for new tooling and equipment.Support troubleshooting and design improvements throughout the project lifecycle.Collaboration & Project SupportWork closely with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and project teams.Participate in technical reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Support the delivery of innovative solutions that meet customer and operational requirements.ProfileEducationMaster's Degree (Bac +5) in:Mechanical EngineeringGeneral EngineeringOr an equivalent technical disciplineExperience0 to 10 years of experience in:Mechanical designIndustrial equipment developmentManufacturing or engineering projectsBoth recent graduates and experienced engineers are encouraged to apply.LanguagesFluent English, written and spoken.French is highly desirable.Why Westinghouse?We know that to put forth your best effort, you need to be challenged and enjoy what you do in a supportive and respectful environment.
